NPR Goes to the West Bank

“No matter how much you’ve read about the struggle for land in the Middle East, it deepens your understanding to visit an Israeli settlement in the West Bank.”  Steve Inskeep of NPR visits Ariel and a nearby Palestinian village for a basic situationer on the West Bank.    Basic and informative.   He left out one important point: Ariel is one of the large city-like settlements that is generally considered more a candidate for a land swap than an evacuation.   Geographically, it’s like a finger jutting into the West Bank, which makes it a bit tricky, but it still seems unlikely that it would be traded away.  Sidenote:  So that’s who you spell Inskeep.   I always thought it was Insky.
